Master Builders Federation
Before becoming a Master Builder members must meet a strict membership criteria as well as passing our vetting process.As well as signing up to a Code of Practice members must confirm their trading address and VAT registration details (if applicable). They also check their employers (if applicable) and public liability insurance, verify that they have no un-discharged bankruptcies or relevant and outstanding County Court Judgements and perform credit, public record and director checks – all of which you must pass before being accepted in to membership.

Since 2011, all members have passed an independent inspection before joining and from 2015 all members will be inspected every 3 years. Member inspections are carried out by an inspector from the British Board of Agrément, an independent non-profit distributing organisation accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service.

The CITB are the Construction Industry Training Board and a partner in the Sector Skills Council for the construction industry in England, Scotland and Wales. It’s their job to work with industry to encourage training, which helps build a safe, professional and fully qualified workforces.The support and funding the CITB provide helps companies to improve skills, increase their competitiveness and respond to challenges such as the low carbon agenda, reducing costs on site and recruiting the best talent for their sector.

Collyer Construction Limited are subject to the CITB levy and aim to achieve the top level of skills competence training wherever possible

Local Authority Building Control (LABC) represents all local authority building control teams in England and Wales. Our members work cooperatively with building owners, home owners, architects, plan drawers, developers, building contractors and other professionals to ensure buildings are safe, healthy and efficient to meet the standards set by the building regulations. The Building Inspectors, have the skills, knowledge, insight and personality to help make your project a success. We tick all the boxes for high-quality, competitive building control services: we’re licensed by the Construction Industry Council, operate to ISO 9001:2008 and our surveyors are members of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and Chartered Engineers.
